New From C.O.C.K.

So the fall is quickly approaching which means two things. No more summer loafing, and new items to be released weekly from C.O.C.K. Furniture Designs. This weeks bring my new Social Sofa. It is a 33 prim sofa that comes with a total of 26 animations which include Adult, Cuddles, Single Sits for Men and Women, and an option to sit up to (3) friends.
For now it comes in Mocha & Onyx. Each sofa also comes with a matching lamp which lights up on touch.
Don't forget H.O.K.K. debuts November 2011. Below is a link to my Marketplace Store. Enjoy!

What A Waste!

So, in true LOYAL CUSTOMER fashion, I decided that I needed to go out and purchase the Coquette shoe made by the creator of N-Core shoes.
It was the perfect little black pump. Nice satin texture, and of course the presentation was very impressive. Also impressive was the price tag of only L$295. Well...that should have been my flag that something was wrong. After plopping down my L$295 I went home to unbox the shoe and wear it with a nice knee length pencil skirt that needed dusting off from my inventory. When I put them on, I wanted to scream. The issue? Cankles!! (See picture below).
Now, for those who are not aware, 'cankles' are those little jagged, oddly shaped pixels that your avatar takes on when wearing certain footwear. Linden Labs is STILL working on it (so they say). What upset me was the fact that the picture does NOT show the cankles. Therefore, many consumers ran out to purchase this shoe (myself included), thinking they had found a way to maybe use the alpha layer to remedy the problem. Well, no such luck. I am more livid about the fact that I feel as though I was sold a false product than I am about the linden I wasted. There is nothing worse then showing someone a picture of Ferrari only to sell them a Yugo. It was after I heard from a few other friends that I decided I needed to let people know.
I still love some of their other creations, but this one was defintely A WASTE!!

Two Fab Items All In One Day!!

So it's a RARE occasion that I find anything worthwhile anymore in SL. So much so that I find myself NOT wanting to shop. A lot of things seem lackluster or very half assed.
Today, I got lucky. I was on Marketplace looking for textures and came across a GREAT hair! It's not the typical hair that EVERYONE IN THEIR MOTHER sports around SL. It was really affordable and I liked it so much I bought THREE of them. The name of the creator is Jay Khaos and their store is Raw House. The hairs are very cute and they have REALLY DECENT HAIR FOR MEN!! Yes gents you read that correctly. I had a brief issue with buying a demo so I offlined the creator and they IMMEDIATELY contacted me and helped me sort the issue. To top it off they weren't snooty and didn't come across annoyed. As a creator I go out of my way to be courteous to my customers and I appreciate it when I get the same treatment in return. The hairs run from about $L100 to L$300 and the fat packs are around L$1250. So not out of control and not bank breaking. Their Markeplace link is:

check them out if you get the chance.
So that was the FIRST item I stumbled upon, but the SECOND item has a special place for me, as it was created by a member of my family.
It is the CUTEST little black bikini that you have wanted to see. Now, I know what you are saying: "What's so great about a bikini?" Well I'll tell you what, it's the little things. First off, the lines on this bikini are CLEAN. They are not wobbly and all over the avatar. The selling point for me though was the gathering around the breast area. It is very well done and looks very realistic, also the shade of black is smooth and even. It's not TOO black and it's not FADED. Furthermore there is no fanfare. It's a simple bikini. The bottom piece giving away just enough skin & goes great with your best prim feet or sexy heels.
The creator's name is Caelith Lionheart. They have not created a Marketplace just yet, however, they are putting the finishing touches on their inworld store which is located in the Embrace Mall. I have placed that URL here for your viewing pleasure:

I hope you enjoyed my post for this week. Fingers crossed I find something worthwhile for the upcoming week...

Something for the gents...

So as promised, I found something that I REALLY like for the gents. This ensemble is very appealing & is also VERY well made. I purchased this for my male alt to ensure that the quality was as good as the picture. I have purchased many items because the picture looks great, and when I rezz it inworld it just looks HORRIBLE.
This set comes with the dark blue shirt & very realistic looking denim jeans. The belt is also a very nice touch and oddly enough it ISN'T difficult to fit onto the avatar (as most belts are). I like the fact that this is masculine without being 'dark' or 'noob' looking. Finding clothing for the males is difficult, so when I dress up my boy I lean toward designs that are affordable & easy to mix and match with.
This set is also transfer if you purchase it from Marketplace. Just follow the instructions if you want to box for your special someone. Or you can simply add it as a gift to your cart and ensure that the receiver is NOT set 'Busy'..(yeah been there done that). Below I have the link, which you can click for a photo of the outfit. Up next I will be looking for Men's hair and seeking out cute female AOs.
Til next time guys and gals...
